Development of chromite drainage sand for refining ladle?
Since chromite drainage sand is more stable than siliceous, forsterite and other materials, it is currently widely used as a ladle drainage agent in various steel plants. Therefore, using ferrochrome sand and quartz sand as the main raw materials, the ratio of ferrochrome sand to quartz sand was studied, and the effect of adding spherical casting sand on the performance of drainage sand was studied.
