Comparative analysis of ceramsite foundy sand and chromite sand?
Absolutely, crack defects in products in the foundry industry are more difficult problems. In the eyes of customers, cracks must be caused by the company’s product quality. In order to avoid cracking defects, many foundries use wrapped chrome ore at the R angle and slag tank plane of the casting. However, the cost of chromite sand is higher and cannot be recycled. Therefore, the choice of foundry sand in the casting process is an inherent substitute . The quality status, and the introduction of gemstone sand has played a key role in improving the quality of castings.
ceramsite foundy sand is a spherical artificial casting sand with high heat resistance, low thermal expansion, obtained by spraying high-aluminum raw materials in a molten state and recrystallizing them. It has the advantages of high temperature resistance, good air permeability, collapsibility, acid resistance, low crushing rate, etc., and the cost performance is higher than that of chrome ore, which provides an effective alternative method to improve product quality, reduce production costs, and reduce pollution.
Experimental results:
Chromite sand: uniform sand particle size, need to add 7%-8% sodium chloride, blowing sample time about 4-5 minutes, standing time 4 hours, tensile strength 0.08-0.15, moisture 2.5%;
ceramsite foundy sand: uniform sand size, need to add 3%-4% soak alkali, blowing sample time 3-5 minutes, standing time 1.5 hours, tensile strength between 0.1-0.15, moisture 2%-2.5%.
