Chromite sand model AFS
There are many types of chromite sand , and one of the most commonly used types is classified according to the standards of the American Foundry Society (AFS). The following are some common chrome ore AFS models and their applicable scenarios:
AFS 25-35: This model of chromite sand has a medium particle size and is suitable for a variety of casting scenarios.
AFS 30-35: Similar to AFS 25-35 but may have more specific advantages in certain applications.
AFS 35-40: the foundry industry, especially in castings that require higher fire resistance and slag resistance.
AFS 40-45: Suitable for such as train axle boxes and high mechanical and chemical sand adhesion requirements. This type of chromium ore has excellent refractory temperature resistance and slag resistance.
AFS 45-50 and AFS 50-55: the casting of medium and large steel castings.
