Calculation method for AFS average fineness of chromite sand

Calculation method for AFS average fineness of chromite sand
The calculation of AFS average fineness involves a series of steps, as follows:

1.Weighing sand sample: picking up 100g of chromite sand sample

2.Weigh and record the mass of sand particles remaining on each sieve.

3.Calculate the percentage of sand particles retained on each sieve to the total amount of sand sample.

4.Multiply by AFS fineness multiplier: Multiply the percentage of sand particles retained on each sieve by the “AFS fineness multiplier” corresponding to each sieve.

5.Sum up: Add up the products obtained for each sieve number above to obtain the total sum.

6.Calculate AFS fineness: Divide the sum obtained in item 5 by the sum of the percentages of retained sand on each sieve in item 3 to obtain the AFS fineness.

7.Then calculate the average of chromite sand

The above is the calculation method for the average fineness of chromium ore sand AFS. It should be noted that this process requires precise operation and rigorous attitude to ensure the accuracy of the results
