Application of chromite Sand in Large Steel Castings
(1) When producing large steel castings, applying chromite Sand as surface sand on the surface or hot spot of thick and large castings can effectively prevent metal penetration and sand sticking
(2) The acid consumption value of chrome ore sand used for furan resin self hardening sand shall be small, the moisture content shall be small, the micro powder content shall be small, the impurity content shall be controlled, and the particle size distribution shall be appropriate
(3) The mixing process of chromium ore fast ah resin sand and quartz flavored furan resin sand is similar, and the usable time should be appropriately extended. (4) Chromium ore is better than quartz sand in thermal expansion, high temperature strength and other high temperature properties, and is suitable for large steel castings.
