chromite sand is used for foundry (AFS 45-50). as a mo cing materia in the manufacture of foundry mo dsand cores (both whole and their facing layer), as well as for the manufacture of heat-stressed sections ofmolds and cores; steel large-size thick-walled casting, production of the starting mixture. ln the refractoryindustry – for the manufacture of mixtures of various compositions used as fillings for steel pouring openingsof slide gates of steel pouring and intermediate ladles, as well as for the manufacture of chromite-periclaseand periclase-chromite products molded and unformed
