1) Chromite is a high-quality neutral refractory material used in large carbon steel and manganese steel castings. It can effectively prevent casting defects such as mechanical sand adhesion and cracks, and can also promote sequential solidification.
2) Chromite sand can be used with various casting binders to prepare core sand, surface sand and casting coatings, and can also be used to prepare ladle lining materials.
3) The newly developed chromite and ferrochrome sand have certain characteristics, and their mixture has been successfully used for pouring large steel castings (20-50t or more)
