Because quartz sand is used as molding sand, the lost foam negative pressure casting process produces poor mechanical properties and wear resistance of grinding balls. In order to improve the wear resistance of the grinding ball, chromite sand is used instead of dry quartz sand. The test results show that: because the heat storage coefficient and resonance coefficient of chromite sand are much higher than that of quartz sand, and the surface hardness of the chromite sand casting mold is higher, the impact stress value of the produced grinding balls increases from 5.17J/cm2 to 5.70J/cm2; The relative wear resistance is 1.24 times that of quartz sand grinding balls.
